Bulgarian Resorts
Resorts of Bulgaria can be divided in two groups : Beach-resorts and Ski-resorts.Beach-resorts attract tourists from Germany, Romania, Russia, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The ski-resorts have become a prefered destination for British and Irish tourists.
Summer resorts exist on the Black Sea at Sozopol, Nessebur, Golden Sands, Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas, Albena, Saints Constantine and Helena and many others. Spa resorts such as Bankya, Hisarya, Sandanski, Velingrad, Varshets and many others attract visitors throughout the year. Bulgaria has started[update] to become an attractive tourist destination mostly due to prices well below those in Western Europe.
Ski resorts offer the best rental returns due to their year-round tourism capacity. The coastline, including resorts such as Sunny Beach, freezes throughout winter and most of the local amenities close, but the ski resorts remain very much alive.
