70 mineral springs will be managed by Bulgarian municipalities for a period of 25 years

Bulgarian municipalities have intensified their interest in the utilisation of mineral springs, which the Bulgarian state grants them under gratuitous concession. The Ministry of Environment and Water published a list of nearly 70 mineral springs, which can be managed by the Bulgarian municipalities for a period of 25 years. Tomorrow expires the deadline for the local authorities to file their applications for the gratuitous management and monitoring of 11 sites. The list involves 11 deposits such as "Kamenar" - Pomorie Municipality, "Kiten" - Tsarevo Municipality, "Medovo" - Pomorie Municipality, "Sunny Beach" - Nessebar Miniciplaity, "Dolna Banya`` - Dolna Banya Municipality, "Krasnovo" - Municipality of Hisar, "Strelcha" - Strelcha Municipality, "Harmanli" - Harmanli municipality, "Chirpan" - Chirpan municipality, "Blagoevgrad" - Blagoevgrad Municipality, and "Blagoevgrad - Struma River" - Blagoevgrad Municipality. The mineral springs became an excellent opportunity for the municipalities to receive additional revenues generated as a result of their operation, said the Mayor of Blagoevgrad, Atanas Kambitov.
