Manufacturer of CD and DVD Media Systems moves from Stara Zagora to Sofia

The manufacturer of CD and DVD Media Systems JSC closed its factory in Stara Zagora and moved all production to Sofia. The new base is located on the 7th kilometer of Tzarigradsko Shose Blvd and is owned by one of the shareholders in the company - Crystal Media. "We believe that change will make us more effective. The new base is twice as large and we can do the same work with fewer people," said Dimitar Georgiev, Executive Director and shareholder in Media Systems. The capacity of the plant in Sofia will be 12 million CD and DVD per month. For comparison, the old one in Stara Zagora was producing 5 million discs. All 50 specialists who work in Stara Zagora, were released, as in Sofia-based plant will work 35 new people. About 80% of the production ofMedia Systems is intended for foreign markets and only 20% for the internal.
